Why I’m Writing My Way Out of the 9-5 (and Into Fatherhood)
I didn’t start this blog because I hate my job.
I started it because I know my time is limited…
And I don’t want to miss what actually matters.
I’m 33.
I’ve got two kids, a wife, and a full-time job that pays the bills.
But if I’m honest?
The idea of clocking-in for the next 30 years makes me want to throw up.
I’m not chasing millions.
I’m chasing moments:
- Playing with my kids without checking Teams
- Taking a walk mid-day without guilt
- Being present in the evenings… not fried from calls and spreadsheets
That’s why I’m writing my way out.
Not with clickbait.
Not with some viral “make money online” scheme.
Just writing.
Every day.
About what I know.
About what I’m learning.
About how to build income without burning down your life in the process.
I’m Building a Life, Not Just a Blog
I started Dad Who Writes because I believe there are more guys like me out there:
- Tired of trading time for money
- Trying to be better dads without giving up ambition
- Wanting a way out of the 9-5 that doesn’t require dancing on TikTok
If that’s you?
Welcome. You’re in the right place.
Here’s What You Can Expect
I’ll be writing about:
- Blogging as a writing-first income stream
- Building systems around work, life, and fatherhood
- Staying consistent when life is chaos
- What’s working for me (and what’s not)
I’m not an expert.
I’m just a dad building out in the open.
Want to Follow the Journey?
Join my email list and I’ll send you the exact system I use to write 5-10 blog posts a week while working full-time and raising two kids.
Let’s build something worth handing down.
